OUR CONSERVATION PROJECT

As a construction company and by the model of our business, we are sometimes converting rural land into properties, this means taking away something from nature. In 2005 our company rebalanced by purchasing a remote mountain forest land of 6 acres that was overgrown and dominated by the highly invasive eucalyptus trees, this was to become our own nature preserve and an enormous conservation project.

Today the eucalyptus trees are long gone and now replaced by a real haven created with natural biodiversity with intricate wandering trails full of flowering plants, birds and native wild bees, there is a small lake with fish and water lilies, it’s now a place to see some of Madeira´s rarest birds. The land conservation area now at over stands over 100 acres and is an area of outstanding beauty.
